She and her mom are part of the Michigan cannabis community. Michigan adopted a medical marihuana (sic) program in 2008.
Cannabis is decriminalized in Michigan. An adult may possess up to 2.5 oz; up to 15 grams of concentrate. Within their home, an adult may have 10 ounces of marijuana and any marijuana cultivated on the premises.
Adult-use cannabis sales in Michigan launched on Dec. 1, 2019. Sales were $440 million in the first year of the program and are expected t nearly double in the second year.
